Inner Mongolia Officially Launches Internet Cafe Intelligent Control System

A "Black Internet Cafe" shut down by the authorities in Inner Mongolia

 

 

Inner Mongolia’s Huhhot City has held an opening ceremony for launching the Internet Café Intelligent Control System that symbolizes the achievement of scientific and intelligent management of Internet cafes in the city. Meantime, the Cultural Market Administration and Law Enforcement Crime Reporting National Hotline 12318 is officially opened in Huhhot City as well.

Reportedly, Huhhot City Internet Café Intelligent Control System is capable of managing internet café administration, crime report, access control list, policy management, penalty management, information exchange, and statistics and analysis. Through the Internet Café Intelligent Control System, Huhhot City Cultural Market Administration Monitoring and Controlling Center’s workers will directly be able to monitor internet activities of every internet café and internet surfer in every corner of Huhhot City. If there is any reactionary, superstitious, or pornographic activity in the internet, as well as internet crimes and hacking activities that might harmful to youngsters’ physical and mental health, the system administrators will take actions such as screen capturing, rebooting or shutting down the system in accordance with corresponding situation, and impose penalties to those internet cafés that allowed the activity. It is reported that the number of internet cafés that have been issued the Internet Management Permit has already reached 340, and all of these Internet cafés have already installed the Internet Filter Vanguard, an Internet culture management system. In the next step, Huhhot City Cultural Market Administration Office workers will, in accordance with the “Regulation of Managing Internet Surfing Service Providers”, impose heavy penalties to those Internet cafés who have uninstalled the Internet culture management system without permission.
